A painting I did for my sister as a Christmas present
It may seem like I haven't been doing any art since Inktober, but I have. I have been working on 2 paintings. This is the second I did (and one I like the least). A few years ago, my sister and her husband, myself, and my parents purchased a bach (read cottage, or low-budget-holiday-home). We called the property Manu Waiata, which means Bird Song, but the bach itself was Jac's Shack (Jac is an affectionate term for my sister). We don't own it now (my sister and her husband have since bought a different property 2 doors away), but I thought it would be nice for her to have a reminder of what once was.
I began this painting about 13 years ago (I think) and you can see the unfinished version in the photo that sits on the homepage of this blog. I set about finishing it in time for Christmas.
